In Luis Bunuel`s LA ILLUSION VIAJA EN TRANVIA (ILLUSION TRAVELS BY STREETCAR), a film which strikes a balance between heartfelt adventure-comedy and visually intoxicating sociopolitical-surrealist piece, two transit mechanics learn their favorite streetcar is to be dismantled and decide to honor it by taking it out for a joyride. The problem is, since they decide to do this drunk, they must spend the entire night getting themselves out of tight situations and all manner of trouble. Also included is Bunuel`s 1959 picture NAZARIN. This humanistic tale of a determined priest who is continually met with hatred until he takes in a prostitute is often considered to be one of the avant-garde filmmaker`s best movies.
